Safety Blankets

Let's face it, everyone knows about the presence of Formaldehyde in campers, motorhomes and trailers due to the types of building materials used to construct them. The RV manufacturers are aware of this and are continuing to improve their resources. Some are faster than others. Their improvements are jusifiably gradual but there is good progress.

There are millions of present day and older units that have not been produced with the improved materials planned for the the future. Millions more may yet be produced from today on until that day.

Use of the Safety Blanket

The best time to use the Safety Blanket in an open room is when the RV is closed up. During this period there is no fresh air for ventilation. When the RV is either closed for the night during sleep time or is closed for storage the wool Safety Blanket absorbs the Formaldehyde as materials continue to off-gas.

Wool has been confirmed in a laboratory to absorb over 400ppm within 24 hours. That's a lot of Formaldehyde when you consider the EPA recommended exposure number to be only 0.1 ppm. FEMA has agreed to a 0.3 ppm exposure due to the trailer testing among the hurricane victims.

Wool has a high capacity to absorb VOC's and Formaldehyde. It can handle the off-gassing quantities of any RV or camper.

Use the Safety Blanket especially when the RV is occupied and closed up. It's for your own safety.
